2019-6-27 · JPG is the most widely used file format for images today because of its quality/size ratio and is supported by every viewer I know of. Actually, it's the only file type allowed by some of them unless you pay for extras. Though it is quite old and others seem to do the job better, it has managed to prevail overwhelmingly, both online and in digicams.
